Spring is Here!

Wow, it's been awhile since I updated the blog: shame on me :) This winter has been a blast! And now the wedding season is starting to shift back into gear, though we won't be in full swing until May.

In the last couple of weeks I got to do two great engagement shoots for two amazing couples! The first was out on Hollister Ranch north of Santa Barbara! We kept hopping in and out of the fog, chasing the sun as we went, which made for some great lighting, as well as some fun shots! There were cows everywhere, and at one point, I really did think we were going to have to hide from a bull behind a tree! It was pretty crazy/ fun! I had my cattle dog Corona with me, and desperately wanted to let her out to run and chase cows, but she's only 5 months old, and if she was good at it, then I would feel bad that she's biting someone else's cows! Maybe another time.
















Then, last weekend, I headed up to San Francisco to do a little tour of the city with Jim and Jessica in their neck of the woods. It was great because I've never really shot up in SF too much, only visited. So it was great to go there with that being the purpose! One of my favorite spots was this really great graffiti wall that my buddy told me about. It was definitely great for pictures, and I'm sure that there are photographers there ALL the time, but there were a couple times when I felt a little odd about having almost 10K worth of camera gear just slung around my neck. Suddenly my neck doesn't seem worth that much :) Only kidding, it was totally safe :)
