Well, as many of you know, I've been lagging on blogging over the last several months, and there's a few reasons for that: One, winter time is the slow time, and Two, a lot of changes have been taking place. The largest of which is getting engaged myself and planning a Santa Rosa Wedding! But the next biggest change would probably have to be the move to Northern California.
That's right, we are exchanging the Santa Ynez Wine country for the
Napa Valley Wine Country. Not that I won't still be available for Southern California weddings... I will just as much as I ever have. But we are moving operations closer to family and extended family. We are still living in Santa Barbara at the moment, and the move won't be taking place for another 6-12 months, but I'm beginning to make connections up in the Sonoma and Napa wedding circles to begin booking weddings closer to our soon-to-be home!
With that in mind, We're doing a Wedding Booking Blitz! Significantly discounted Northern California weddings for you, your friends, and your family. And we're also offering free 10"x10" 30 page, Linen cover, custom made, coffee table books to all of our past clients as a thank you for any referrals that book with us. But we're only blitzing for a limited time... Now through May 1st! So let your newly engaged friends in Northern California know that we're coming their way!

On another note, I recently found my new favorite photographer. Awhile back I was shooting a Santa Barbara wedding at the
Santa Barbara Historical Museum , and parked right next to the getaway car was this HUGE 4x4 Ford Van... totally equipped for roughing it off the beaten path. It was love at first sight! I took a picture so that I could look up the manufacturer later, and I think that I spent the next two days solid drooling over the
Sportsmobile website and
Owner Forum. These things are amazing!

On the
Sportsmobile website, as part of their gallery, they listed some photographers that own and use the van as an essential piece of their photography setup. One such photographer was
Trevor Clark. He's become my new favorite for a couple of reasons... he's a great adventure photographer, and though I don't get out to have as many adventures as I would like, I have a vivid imagination, which is almost just as good... definitely safer :) Secondly, he owns a Sportsmobile, but more than own it... he lives in it; and has for the last two years. Traveling around the country shooting and editing from the van, he lives a very free spirited lifestyle in pursuit of his passion for the outdoors and photography. Very noble in my book. It's pretty easy to jump on his blog and lose yourself in the stories until three hours later your computer decides it's had enough and runs out of batteries. He's definitely worth checking out!
I'm determined to own one of these things in my lifetime!
