Canary Candids

One of my favorite types of photography are Candid photos at weddings, so you can imagine what a joy it is when I show up to shoot a wedding and the bride tells me she doesn't want me to pose any pictures, just to shoot candids and that's it! This is actually only the second wedding where I've shot ONLY candid shots, but they are a lot of fun, there's very little stress, and so there's I think even more creativity that goes in to getting finding shots.

Caitlin and Dunstan's wedding was awesome! I really should have been buying tickets though because every single speech, and there were several, was a polished stand up comedy routine! I was almost crying behind the camera from laughing at times. It was one of the few times I wish I was a videographer as well. Check out some of the pics!

Sundial Bridge

Redding, CA isn't the closest city to Santa Barbara, but it's definitely one of the most beautiful drives you can take in CA. And what made the trip a complete joy wasn't getting to shoot a wedding there, but getting to shoot the wedding of my great friend David Berck and his bride Mary! It was an absolutely gorgeous wedding at Sundial bridge, a walking bridge that was donated to the city of Redding. A couple days a year, it's just about perfectly accurate... I'll go ahead and say that one of those days was June 12th! It was definitely one of the cooler places that I've shot. And David and Mary did their wedding right, everything down to the helicopter to the hotel resort and a month long honeymoon in the Mediterranean! I love you guys! Take good pics :)
