Two Small
Last weekend held two sweet weddings, in two sweet locations, with two small but sweet groups of people! On Saturday, I had the privilege of shooting Eric and Jennifer's wedding at Gundlach Bundschu winery in Sonoma, CA! Their winery was outrageously cool! Especially the wine cave that seemed like it was a mile long. You could easily get lost in a wonderland of tunnels down there. But who cares, you'd come away with some stellar images! And props to the bride and groom, who were from the great state of Texas, for carting their friends and family out to Sonoma, where they had never even visited, for a gorgeous winery wedding!
The following day, on Sunday, we had a very small wedding at the private Turley estate in Napa, CA. This was a real treat because there are only a handful of wineries, literally, that are allowed by the county to hold weddings at their location. This surprised me when I first found this out. So any opportunity to shoot in Napa is a treat! And I love these small weddings too. I'm engaged to be married this summer as well, and one of my friends texted me the other day just to double check that I hadn't already gotten married at the courthouse or something. I told him that I wasn't, but not for a lack of trying. I think your closest friends and fam at a private estate or the courthouse with a great reception afterward is a perfect wedding! Cheers to Will and Ximena!
